On March 14, our School hosted the 71st session of the Leading Navigator Lecture. Professor Wu Qian-tao, a Senior Professor of Liberal Arts at Tsinghua University, was invited to engage with faculty and students in a discussion on Academic Research and Question Awareness.

During the discussion, Professor Wu emphasized that question awareness is the wellspring of academic innovation. While AI can serve as an auxiliary tool in research, it must not replace independent thinking, and scholars should cultivate confidence in scientific research. Professor Wu also addressed topics such as how to read literature, identify research problems, and refine the use of normative language in academic writing, underscoring the philosophy that Great truths are always simple.

In his concluding remarks, Dean Li Hai-bo noted that the discussion provided significant guidance for integrating teaching and research, fostering confidence in scientific research, and cultivating a strong sense of question awareness.
